What is a Cleanroom?
A cleanroom is a room where the concentration of airborne particles, temperature, humidity, and other factors are controlled to specific standards as necessary.
The cleanliness of a cleanroom is indicated by the size and number of particles per unit volume.
The class is divided into 1 to 9 depending on the number of particles larger than 0.1μm per cubic meter of air.
Our products are used in ISO Class 5 cleanrooms.
This corresponds to Class 100 in the US Federal Standard, which was abolished in 2001.
Class | Number of particles (per m3) larger than 0.1μm | |
ISO Class 1 | 10 | |
ISO Class 2 | 100 | |
ISO Class 3 | 1,000 | Class 1 |
ISO Class 4 | 10,000 | Class 10 |
ISO Class 5 | 100,000 | Class 100 |
ISO Class 6 | 1,000,000 | Class 1,000 |
