～Preventing Water Residue on the Tank Bottom～
The distinctive part of this container is its “bottom.” The bottom of the one-tapered type stainless
container【KTT】, which serves as the base of this container, is normally equipped with a hakama for
raising the bottom, which could potentially allow water or powder to remain in the gaps.
Therefore, in this container, the hakama was changed to a
square bar so that it can be properly cleaned without leaving any dirt behind. Wiping down
after cleaning is also easy. In addition, the handles are welded
seamlessly in a sanitary specification, preventing foreign matter from entering.
By eliminating potential areas for dirt and other residue to accumulate through custom processing, the
risk of foreign matter entering the container is reduced.

In addition to SUS304, which is widely used worldwide and is also used as a standard material by our company,
you can choose SUS316L as well.
SUS316L is a high-grade stainless steel material, made by adding molybdenum to SUS304 and further reducing
its carbon content. It is known for its high corrosion
resistance, particularly in welded areas.
If a container rusts, the rusted part may mix with the contents inside the container, or cracks may develop
from the rusted part, potentially leading to container damage. SUS316L is the ideal material to reduce such
risks. At Nittokin Metal Industries, we can manufacture products normally made from SUS304 using SUS316L
instead. We will propose suitable specifications based on the contents and your requirements.
Enhance Sanitary Properties with “Electropolishing”
For those who want to further improve corrosion resistance and prevent foreign matter contamination, we
recommend “electropolishing”. Electropolishing is a polishing method
that dissolves metal ions from the metal surface in an electrolyte solution, smoothing the
surface.
By applying electropolishing, the chromium concentration on the metal surface increases, making the
passive film
that prevents rust more robust. Furthermore, in the case of buff polishing, foreign substances
such as oil and buffing powder can become embedded in the fine scratches caused by polishing. With
electropolishing, this concern is eliminated. In addition, the extremely smooth surface makes it less
likely for dirt to accumulate, making cleaning easier.
