The negative pressure generated by the circulation pump draws powder from the hopper into the pipe, where it is pre-mixed with liquid. This prevents powder agglomeration and floating on the liquid surface, dramatically shortening the time required to obtain a homogeneous dispersion.
Why It Doesn’t Form Lumps
As powder is pulled from the hopper into the pipe, the airflow naturally breaks up any clumps before they can form. The powder mixes with the liquid in the pipe while moving toward the tank.
Why It Doesn’t Float on the Surface
The powder/liquid pipe is installed **below** the liquid surface, so powder cannot sit on top and float—it is forced to stay submerged and disperse.
Comparison Test | Dissolving a Thickener
We compared the dissolution of the thickener CMC in water using a conventional setup (tank + agitator) and the Bernoulli-Flow Mixing Unit.
After approximately 10 minutes of agitation, the tank + agitator still contained large surface gels with dry powder trapped inside. With the mixing unit, only small gel-like specks were found at the bottom and no obvious powder lumps remained in the tank.

*CMC = Carboxymethyl cellulose, a powdered thickening agent.*
